How Art Calms The Mind

The University of Arizona did a study on how looking at art calms the brain they say

“ Art can take us on a journey to faraway lands or into the distant past. It can conjure strong emotions and deep thoughts, or simply dazzle us with its visual brilliance. Everyone’s reaction to the art may be different, but its ability to impact us is unquestioned”.

For me, art is a form of expression that is used to express emotions and the way one feels. The art that is created from these emotions can have a wide range of meanings, says Haydn Porter. These pieces of art can calm the mind, relieve stress, and even help people to feel better about themselves.

Art can have many different effects on the person who is looking at it, depending on what they are feeling at the time. It can be used as a form of therapy for people who are dealing with depression or anxiety in their lives. Art is also a way for people to express themselves in ways that words cannot do justice.

Art has always been a way to express oneself and research shows it is often a form of therapy, say Haydn. It is not surprising that looking at art can have a calming effect on the mind.

The calming effect of art is not only due to the colours, shapes, and images it portrays but also because of the act itself. When you look at an artwork, your eyes are focused on one spot for a long period of time which calms the mind.

Art has the power to change the way we feel. When you look at a painting, it can have a calming effect on your mind. It can also be used to help you get through tough times and use more of your creative outlets, making you the artist or you the viewer feel good.

Art is not just something that is for decoration or for museums. It has a powerful effect on our moods and emotions and can be used in many different ways, for me art is the expression of an individual’s creativity, imagination, and critical insight.

My goal as an artist is to create a piece of art that will influence the audience’s emotions and moods in such a way that it may cause them not just to see the art, but think about the artwork, or even feel something within themselves, says Haydn

Art calms the mind and has many health benefits when you look at it. It is a way of taking a break from the world and letting your thoughts wander.

As an artist, I agree that art calms the mind. When you learn to appreciate art, it can be a way of relaxing at the end of a long day. I also agree that the benefit of art can be used to express what words cannot. To me, one way that this is done is by illustrating how people feel about a certain topic or issue.

Creating art is a way to express our thoughts, emotions and desires as well as provide insight into the world we live in. As a result, many people feel that it’s intertwined with their identity and so it won’t come as much of a surprise that you may disagree on certain topics. Language itself is not enough to accurately portray intimately complex thoughts, says Haydn.

Haydn says, “I have been inspiring people’s thoughts and feelings with my artwork since 1980” it has been an emotional rollercoaster for me, and I’m proud to now have paintings all over the world in Galleries, Offices and Homes, in every piece of art I paint, I give a little of me with it.
